Where has all the humanity gone?
In pursuit of power and prestige
lost is the element that shone
Selfishness and materialism is all around
tainting the hearts of the majority
We have lost what we should have found
If peace and love have been abandoned
have our pockets been set to bulge
Or have our hearts been saddened?
The ways of the wealthy and powerful
stepping over those in need
paved is an avarice manual.
Influenced by the greedy and rich
of which ignorance is bliss
Has led us down a sorrowful ditch
